Traditional religion and usage of traditional healing methods are integral components of African life and culture. A central need of the African population is the quest for health and healing, which is important to all cultures and people. African people argue that their healing methods are effective for people seeking physical and spiritual healing. Traditional healing practices have demonstrated their ability to heal, restore physical (such as disability) and spiritual health through trial and error. Many questions have been raised globally since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic concerning the potential of traditional healing methods as a treatment and solution for the Virus. This research focuses on African traditional medicine/herbs and argues that they should be evaluated for Covid-19 treatment and cure. Through a qualitative method of research, the study indents to succinctly analyse the impact of African traditional approaches on curing and restoring of health during Covid-19. In addition, Purposeful sampling will be used due to its strength in identification and selection of information-rich literature on African approaches to curing covid-19. Therefore, secondary method of data collection is adopted adequately to analyse the phenomena in question. Furthermore, the findings of the paper claims that there is a need to explore African solutions for African problems, particularly that these methods have been used and they have proven to be effective in restoring health amongst African communities. Hence is why it is vital to analyse the long-standing traditional healing approaches for Covid-19.en_US
